Heresies in Christian churches:

The religious teachers including priests and pastors teach about God's grace, which is Jesus = (Yeshua) Christ = (Mashiach) = (Messiah) that nailed God's Law on the cross. This kind of teaching is heresy because no one can abolish God's Law. Jesus' = (Yeshua) death on the cross is a substitute for the sin's offering. God's Law is not abolished, and the sin's offering still valid through Jesus' = (Yeshua) sacrifice. Jesus = (Yeshua) is the Lamb of God. They teach that humanity is not needed for God’s Law because it is old and vanished away. They teach that God's grace gives them eternal security because they have faith even if they abound in sin. They teach that saved person on this planet earth will never lose salvation, even this person abound in sin. This teaching is identical to the false apostle Paul's teaching. How the people could survive without God's Law. The following text explains how the lawless world is flourishing in sin.

The Christian world is battling to ban God's Law through the false apostle Paul the Tarsus of the New Testaments. Paul twisted Christ = (Mashiach) = (Messiah)'s Word during Jesus; era till the twentieth first century.

We should obey God's Law "the Torah" Jesus = (Yeshua) said, Matthew 5:17 to 19.

People are killing in the cause of religions. God's commanded the people through his prophets to obey His Law, not religion. Religions are not the way to God's kingdom "heaven". God's Law is the only way; Jesus = (Yeshua) said; I am the way. Certainly, Jesus = (Yeshua) is the way through God's Law, because Jesus = (Yeshua) spoke God's Word, which tells us to obey God's Law and to love one another, Matthew 5:14 to 15, Matthew 5:17 to 19.  Jesus = (Yeshua) didn't preach religion; he commended us to obey God's Law, and to pray to God the Father in heaven ONLY, Matthew 6:9 to 15.

Paul said: God's first covenant has fault; and because God make mistake in the first covenant, God had to issue another one, Hebrews 7:18, Hebrews 8:6 to 7.

Paul blasphemed God and His Law. God doesn't make mistakes, He is perfect. Therefore, the christians churches must repent and return to God and His La, not to Paul.

Teen Arrested for Raping His Mother

Albertville, Ala. -- Police say a Marshall County teen raped his mother to get revenge on his brother.

Police say 19-year-old (G- ary) (He- lms), Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother this past weekend at Willow Terrace Trailer Park on Doyle Drive in Albertville.

It's a twisted crime that police say Helms admits.

"From what we understand the rape stemmed from an argument between him and his brother. And apparently they were arguing over a girlfriend. And the rape was some sort of retaliation towards his brother," said Sgt. Jamie Smith of the Albertville Police Department.

It was unusual retaliation on an unsuspecting victim.

Authorities say (He- lms)' mother was apparently passed out drunk on the couch when the rape started.

"During the attack she did come to and recognize her attacker. (Reporter: As her son?) As her son," said Smith.

That's when, according to the police report, the mother "tried to get away, but he held her down until he was finished."

"It's totally sick is what it is," said Smith.

(He- lms) was arrested and charged with the 1st degree rape of his own mother.

Smith says it's hard to wrap your mind around.

"Shocked, shocked would be more a better way to describe it. That somebody would dip to the lows to do something of this nature. It's just pretty much a shock to the conscience of the general public," said Smith.

(He- lms) is being held in the Marshall County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Mexico City lawmakers voted to legalize abortion Tuesday, a decision likely to influence policies and health practices across Mexico and other parts of heavily Roman Catholic Latin America. The proposal will take effect with the expected signing by the city's leftist mayor.

MEXICO CITY, Mexico (AP) -- Mexico City lawmakers voted to legalize abortion Tuesday, a decision likely to influence policies and health practices across Mexico and other parts of heavily Roman Catholic Latin America.

The proposal, approved 46-19, with one abstention, will take effect with the expected signing by the city's leftist mayor.

Abortion opponents have already vowed to appeal the law to the Supreme Court, a move likely to extend the bitter and emotional debate in this predominantly Catholic nation.
Decriminalizing abortion is a historic triumph -- a triumph of the left," said city legislator Jorge Diaz Cuervo, a social democrat who voted for the bill. "Today, there is a new atmosphere in this city. It is the atmosphere of freedom."

Nationally, Mexico allows abortion only in cases of rape, severe birth defects or if the woman's life is at risk. Doctors sometimes refuse to perform the procedure even under those circumstances.

The new law will require city hospitals to provide the procedure through the end of the first trimester and opens the way for private abortion clinics. Girls under 18 would have to get their parents' consent.
The procedure will be almost free for poor or insured city residents, but is unlikely to attract patients from the United States, where later-term abortion is legal in many states. Under the Mexico City law, abortion after 12 weeks would be punished by three to six months in jail.

President's party opposes measure
Mexico City is dominated by the leftist Democratic Revolution Party, at odds with President Felipe Calderon's conservative National Action Party, which opposed the abortion measure.
We go to great lengths to protect (sea) turtle eggs," said city lawmaker Paula Soto, a member of Calderon's party. "Lucky turtles! It appears they have more people willing to defend them than some unborn children."

The law alarmed Calderon's party and prompted authorities to send ranks of riot police to separate chanting throngs of opposing demonstrators outside the city legislature.
"We want this law, because it means the right to choose," said Alma Romo, who described herself as a feminist. "Unfortunately, there are some people who do not want to grant us that right."

The Roman Catholic church has protested the measure and Mexico City Cardinal Norberto Rivera led a march through the capital last month in opposition. The Archdiocese said Tuesday that it would "evaluate the moral consequences of the reforms" and said Rivera would have no public comment on the vote until Sunday.
The only countries in Latin America and the Caribbean with legalized abortion for all women are Cuba and Guyana. Most others allow it only in cases of rape or when the woman's life is at risk. Nicaragua, El Salvador and Chile ban it completely.

The New York-based Center for Reproductive Rights, the legal arm of the reproductive rights movement globally, applauded the Mexico City law as "historic."
"This will serve as a model to get abortion accepted not only nationwide, but also in Latin America and the Caribbean, where women who interrupt their pregnancies are still sent to jail," said activist Elba Garcia, 24, who rode a flatbed truck in an abortion rights caravan through downtown Mexico City on Monday.

Recent newspaper polls showed a majority of Mexico City residents support legalized abortions, at least in the first weeks of pregnancy.
Calderon has opposed the proposal, and church leaders have led protests that pushed the limits of Mexico's constitutional ban on political activity by religious groups.

Opponents argue that life begins at conception and say the law would violate the Mexican Constitution's protection of individual rights. Supporters say the law would save the lives of thousands of women.
The city and its suburbs are home to about one-fifth of the country's population, and many Mexicans travel to the capital for medical treatment. Opponents fear the local law could attract women across Mexico seeking abortions.

An estimated 200,000 women have illegal abortions each year in Mexico, based on the number who show up at hospitals later seeking treatment for complications, said Martha Micher, director of the Mexico City government's Women's Institute.
Botched abortions using herbal remedies, black-market medications and quasi-medical procedures kill about 1,500 women each year and are the third-leading cause of death for pregnant women in the capital, Micher said.

Three mothers were jailed for aiding incest

SINGAPORE (Reuters) -- Three Singaporean Muslim women, all married to the same man, were sentenced to jail for persuading some of his under-age daughters to have sex with him, court documents showed on Thursday.
The man, who has 10 wives and 64 children, was sentenced to 32 years in prison and 24 strokes of the cane in April 2006 after he was found guilty of raping five of his under-age daughters.
The case has shocked many Singaporeans, both for the crimes committed and the unusual living arrangements depicted in the court papers.
One of the wives was sentenced to nine years in jail after she coaxed her own daughter and two other under-age girls in the family to have sex with the man, court documents showed.
"She was the cook in the family," the court papers said, adding that "she was also responsible for managing the fair and equal treatment of intimacy" between the man and 10 wives.
The other two women, who each persuaded one of their own daughters to sleep with the man, both received three-year terms.
"They participated in the sordid conspiracy by actively persuading their daughters into submitting to the sexual violations," District Judge Shaiffudin Saruwan said in the documents.
The man, citing the koran = (quran), had told his wives and daughters that he had complete ownership over his children, including the right to have sex with his daughters, the papers showed.
The wives then acted as his messengers, telling their daughters to meet their father in his bedroom whenever he wanted sex over a period of 18 months, according to the court papers, adding that two of the daughters have had abortions.
The eldest daughter, now 17, went to the police in 2005 to report the rapes.
The man, who ran a transportation business, has four legal wives and six contractual wives -- an arrangement whereby a Muslim couple enters into a union for a fixed period. His 33 sons and 31 daughters range in age from about 2 years to 17.

Privacy is routinely violated by religious police in all middle eastern and Asian countries. They spy on citizens for eating even in the privacy of their own homes. Mullahs think they have a right to decide how women dress. If anyone is found wanting in these respects the mullahs declare that person a kafir (infidel).

In some religions, women do not have equal rights in marriage and separation. These religions also does not recognize the concept of ‘full age’ for marriage.

Like all totalitarian systems such as communism and Nazism, religions need to censure all criticisms against it in order to survive. They were particularly harsh against all their critics.

Some religions' education does exactly the opposite. School syllabi include one-sided accounts of religion wars and teach young children that all the unbelievers are their enemies.

Paul massacred the early Church of Jesus = (Yeshua) in Jerusalem and in Rome that hold the testimonies of Jesus = (Yeshua) Christ = (Mashiach) = (Messiah) and God's Law "the Torah" two thousands years ago. These persecutions still exist through Pauline’s churches around the world. As we see part of this persecution in Northern Island in England between Protestants and Catholics. We see this kind of persecution in the Middle East. Asia, Africa, and worldwide. Another type of persecution, which is deception and disgrace to the credibility of Christianity by "Lawless" christians churches that follow Paul's teachings. This teaching contradicts God and Jesus' = (Yeshua) Word.

Pauline churches are the christians that follow Paul the Tarsus' teachings. Paul is known by the apostle Paul that wrote 14 epistles in the New Testaments of the bible. Paul wrote the book of Acts to elevate his credibility and to prove that he is an apostle; in reality, he is false and evil apostle. Paul wrote the book of Luke also. Luke didn't even exist. The book of Luke indicates that the Author of this book is not of Jesus = (Yeshua) disciples, the Author wrote according to what he heard from someone that knows about Jesus = (Yeshua) and his disciples, Luke 1:1 to 3. The book of Luke "or the letter of Luke" was addressed to a ruler or high priest, it says; [to the most Excellency Theophilus], Luke 1:3. The book of Acts mentions the name of Theophilus also, Acts 1:1. It is unusual to see letter contains 40 pages. In reality, the person Theophilus doesn’t exist, this name is combined name, which composed of the word “Theo-logy” and by the name Philus also. It sounds like the theology of Philus, which indicate that Paul was deceiving the Christians with Philus’ theology. I have no knowledge about this person “Philus”. The word Philus may refer to a person’s name or it may have some symbolic meaning to Paul and his friends during his era. It may refer to strange god during Paul's era also.

Using the word "Most Excellency" refers to a high priest, ruler, or king. We don't know if this person really existed or Paul used this name to deceive the believers. The book of Acts was written for Paul's benefits only; therefore, I state that the author of the book of Acts is Paul. And because both books have similarities in writing and in theology; I presume that Paul is the Author of both books. The Author's name of the book of Acts is not identified also, so how did they decide that Luke is the Author of both books.

Paul blasphemed God and His Law; and he deceived the Christians through his teachings. Paul claimed two thousands years ago that the Christians should not obey God's Law and not even the Ten Commandments. Paul was teaching the Christians that they are saved through faith only, and have eternal security to inherit God's kingdom without obeying God's Law and the Ten Commandments.  Fort more information, refer to "false apostles" page.

Paul, the Pharisees, ands the Roman soldiers massacred the early Church of Jesus = (Yeshua) (The Church of God) in Jerusalem, which hold the testimony of Jesus = (Yeshua) Christ = (Mashiach) = (Messiah). In according for Paul to start a combatable church to "the Church of God of Jerusalem" in Rome and worldwide; Paul had to offer his evil plan to the Roman Empire to get helps from the emperor to do so, Acts 12:1 to 2, Acts 5:17 to 18. Paul = (Saul the Tarsus) admitted stoning Stephen to death, Acts 7:58, Acts 8:1. Paul named God's Law and His covenant "a yoke", the yoke is guide animals, Acts 15:10. Paul blasphemed God and disrespect God's Law and the believers. God's Law is His Word, and God's Word is holy and not a yoke, God's Law is to guide people to dwell in righteousness, and not to guide animals. Paul was convincing the people to believe that they are saved through faith and not through God's Law. God knows His Law very well and knows if His people are capable to obey it. God's Law is holy and not a yoke to guide animals, God's Law guides people to dwell in righteousness. The passage reads: [9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore, why tempt you God to put a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 But by the grace of the Lord Jesus = (Yeshua) Christ = (Mashiach) = (Messiah), we believe to be saved, in like manner as they also. 12 And all the multitude held their peace; and they heard Barnabas and Paul telling what great signs and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.] Acts 15:9 to 12

Paul used Peter's name in the book of Acts to show the people that Peter agreement about abolishing God's Law through Jesus' grace. Paul mentioned in other epistles that the people are saved through God's grace. In the same passage Paul wrote his name and Barnabas' name to show that they were preaching and performing  miracles with Peter through God. Paul also used the word "faith" to confirm his false teachings that are in his epistles to abolish God's Law "Torah". Paul used the name of James also in the same gathering to confirm that James was them and are alive. 

The book of Acts tells us that "Saul, which is Paul" was a good friend to Herod the governor with other criminals. Paul falsely claimed that he was elected in Antioch to preach with Manaen = (Manahen) and other apostles. In reality, Paul gathered that day with these criminals to set a plan to massacre the apostles. Paul and Manaen = (Manahen) were brought up "friendship" with the governor Herod, Acts 13:1. Therefore, Paul had no difficulty to gather with the Romans to kill the disciples and the apostles to rule the church and to seize its properties, moneys, and to collect the contributions of the believers. During the early church of God, the believers were contributing their moneys, properties, and jewelries, Acts 4:37. Paul killed Ananias and his wife to get their goods, Paul blamed it on the Holy Spirit in his false story in the book of Acts. We never heard that the Holy Spirit kills people to take their properties. Paul said in his false story in the book of Acts that Peter was at the seen when Ananias died with his wife. In reality Peter was dead at the time when Paul killed Ananias and his wife, Acts 5:1 to 11. Paul used the same name "Ananias" as a witness for his false conversion to Christianity, claimed that Jesus = (Yeshua) appeared to Ananias to send a message to Paul. It is a lie, Jesus = (Yeshua) didn't have to appear to Ananias to give a message to Paul. Paul admitted in his false story in the book of Acts that Jesus = (Yeshua) appeared to him and told him to go to Ananias, Acts 9:6, Acts 9:10 to 19. However, if Jesus = (Yeshua) appeared to Paul, why Jesus = (Yeshua) had to tell Paul to go to Ananias to tell him what to do. If Jesus = (Yeshua) really appeared to Paul, Jesus = (Yeshua) was able to tell him what to do without sending him to Ananias. Paul lied in all his testimonies. The book of Acts and the book of Luke were written by Paul.

BANGUI, Central African Republic (AP) -- United Nations officials said on Friday that rebel leaders in the Central African Republic had agreed to begin sending several hundred child soldiers home to their families.
In a statement, a spokeswoman for UNICEF said Gen. Damane Zakaria, whose army controls a portion of the northeast of the country, had agreed to liberate around 400 children. An initial list of 220 child soldiers was handed to UNICEF last week.
Last month, Zakaria's men and the government signed a peace accord. The group led by Zakaria, however, is only one of several rebel factions active in the nation of 3.6 million.
Contacted by telephone in his rebel stronghold of Gordil, 280 miles (450 kilometers) from Bangui, Zakaria confirmed that the rebel Union of Democratic Forces Coalition was prepared to sign an agreement with the U.N. agency in coming days. He estimates that roughly 500 children will be freed as a result of the accord.
"The liberation of these child soldiers will be a good thing for the rebellion because we want all of them to go back to school or learn a job," Zakaria said.
UNICEF spokeswoman Anne Boher applauded the agreement, noting that the Central African Republic had not even signed an international accord meant to end the use of children as soldiers.
"This move signals a voluntary step on the part of armed groups in CAR toward respecting children's rights," she said.
Central African Republic has suffered decades of army revolts, coups and rebellions since it gained independence from France in 1960. Poor and landlocked, it is governed by President Francois Bozize, who came to power in a 2003 rebel war that ousted his predecessor.

District Court case of Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore. Because of Moore’s personality and popularity, this case is the most picturesque of at least a dozen currently in play across the country.

A day after the worst shooting in U.S. history, which claimed 33 lives, the Virginia Tech community was dealing with its loss, holding memorials and prayer services. Meanwhile, police identified Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a Virginia Tech student, as the gunman who killed 30 people at Virginia Tech's Norris Hall before turning the gun on himself. Two others were killed earlier at a dormitory.

BLACKSBURG, Virginia (CNN) -- Families and friends of the 32 victims of Monday's shootings on the Virginia Tech campus joined thousands of students clad in maroon and orange in chanting "Let's go Hokies!" to end an emotional convocation on campus.

"Boy, did we need that," said Zenobia L. Hikes, vice president of student affairs.

Poet Nikki Giovanni, the final speaker at the prayer service, delivered a rousing speech and then raised her arms to encourage the chanting crowd.

"We are sad today, and we will be sad for quite a while," said Giovanni, an English professor at the southwestern Virginia university. "We are not moving on. We are embracing our mourning. President Bush offered his condolences and expressed the nation's sympathy during his brief address in the 10,000-seat Cassell Coliseum.

"Laura and I have come to Blacksburg today with hearts full of sorrow," he said. "This is a day of mourning for the Virginia Tech community. And it is a day of sadness for our entire nation."

Bush told the audience that the Virginia Tech family would not have to suffer alone, and that "people who have never met you are praying for you."

"I know many of you feel awfully far away from people you lean on, people you count on during difficult times. But as a dad, I can assure you, a parent's love is never far from their child's heart," Bush said. "And as you draw closer to your own families in the coming days, I ask you to reach out to those who ache for sons and daughters who will never come home."

"On this terrible day of mourning, it's hard to imagine a time will come when life at Virginia Tech will return to normal," Bush said. "But such a day will come -- and when it does, you will always remember the friends and teachers who were lost yesterday, the time you shared with them and the lives they hoped to lead."

After the ceremony, Bush reached up to clasp hands with mourners as he left the arena. Bush and first lady Laura Bush met with about 50 relatives of the victims and one wounded survivor, Derek O'Dell. Bush appeared teary as he shook hands with everyone, hugging most of them as well.

Bush, University President Charles Steger, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and a parade of religious leaders offered words of comfort to the school community during Tuesday afternoon's ceremony.

Students gave a prolonged standing ovation to Steger. He and other university officials are already under fire for their handling of Monday's slaughter -- particularly a two-hour delay in notifying students of the first two killings, which took place at a dormitory across campus from the building where the rest of the slayings occurred.

Monday's shooting rampage was the deadliest in the history of the United States. Police identified the gunman responsible as Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old English major from South Korea. Cho shot himself as police closed in on him amid the carnage of Norris Hall, the building where most of the killings took place.

The two shooting deaths earlier in the day are also believed to be the work of Cho, but authorities would not declare that definitively Tuesday.

More than a dozen wounded survivors remained hospitalized Tuesday afternoon.

The university has canceled classes until Monday, but Tom Brown, the senior associate dean of students, said students should not worry about academics right now.

Brown said that counselors would be available and that "We will try very hard to make this large institution feel as small to you as we possibly can."

"Please, please take care of yourself first. You cannot get your mind back on academics without spending some time taking care of yourselves," he said. "Go to where you need to go where you have the most love and the best support and I often say, where you can get the best hugs."

Professor: Shooter's writing dripped with anger

The former chairwoman of Virginia Tech's English department was so concerned about Cho Seung-Hui's anger in the fall of 2005 that she took him out of a creative writing class and taught him one-on-one.

Lucinda Roy said Tuesday that police had asked her not to discuss details of the Virginia Tech shooter's writings because of the ongoing investigation, but she said the anger he expressed was palpable.

Police say Cho was the student who killed at least 30 people and wounded 17 others before killing himself Tuesday in an engineering classroom building.

It's also believed he killed two other people earlier Monday in a dormitory on campus, but police are not yet willing to say so definitively.

Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said ballistics tests show that one of the two guns recovered at Norris Hall was used at the dorm.

"It certainly is reasonable for us to assume that Cho was the shooter in both places, but we don't have the evidence to take us there at this particular point in time," State Police Superintendent Col. W. Steven Flaherty said. Watch what police were looking for in Cho's room

Cho never wrote about guns, Roy said, or killing people -- but his writing was disturbing enough that she went to police and other university officials to seek help.

"The threats seemed to be underneath the surface," she said. "They were not explicit, and that was the difficulty the police had."

"My argument was that he seemed so disturbed that we needed to do something about this."

Without a clear threat, nothing could be done, however, and Roy made the decision to take him on in a one-on-one setting.

"I just felt I was between a rock and a hard place," she said. "It seemed the only alternative was to send him back to the classroom, and I wouldn't do it."

While teaching Cho one-on-one, Roy said she "made it clear that that kind of writing was unacceptable and he needed to write in another voice."

And, she said, he appeared to do much better under her close tutelage.

"We worked hard, and I think he produced some writing that I think he could be proud of," she said.

She also said that she encouraged Cho to go to counseling, and believed that he may have "gotten tired of hearing it" and begun to tell her he had been going when, perhaps, he had not.

Cho was an intelligent student, Roy said, but he left students and professors alike unnerved in his presence.

"He always wore sunglasses, even inside," she said. "And he had a hat on, a cap, maybe a baseball cap. You couldn't really see his face. ... It was intimidating, I think."

A fellow student said Cho had written two plays so "twisted" that his classmates suspected he might become a school shooter.

Ian McFarlane, who said he had class with Cho, called the plays "very graphic" and "extremely disturbing."

McFarlane provided a copy of the writings to AOL where he is an employee. Read McFarlane's blog and the two plays

"It was like something out of a nightmare," McFarlane wrote in a blog. "The plays had really twisted, macabre violence that used weapons I wouldn't have even thought of.

"Before Cho got to class that day, we students were talking to each other with serious worry about whether he could be a school shooter."

Cho paid $571 for a 9 mm Glock 19 pistol just over a month ago, the owner of Roanoke Firearms told CNN Tuesday. He also used a .22-caliber Walther pistol in the attack, police said. (Interactive: The weapons used in the shootings)

John Markell said Cho was very low-key when he purchased the Glock and 50 rounds of ammunition with a credit card in an "unremarkable" purchase.

Cho presented three forms of identification and did not say why he wanted the gun, Markell said.

State police conducted an instant background check that probably took about a minute, the store owner said.

Markell said he was shocked when three agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms arrived at his store Monday with the receipt for the weapon.

Governor not ready to talk gun control

Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine said he wasn't interested in arguments about gun control.

"People who want to take this within 24 hours of the event and make it their political hobby horse to ride, I've got nothing but loathing for them," Kaine said at a Tuesday evening news conference.

"To those who want to try to make this into some little crusade, I say: Take that elsewhere. Let this community deal with grieving individuals and be sensitive to those needs."

However, ABC News reported that other law enforcement sources said Cho did leave some kind of note in his dorm room. It contained an explanation of his actions and states, "You caused me to do this," ABC News reported.

It also railed against "rich kids," "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus, according to the Chicago Tribune. (Note: Cho Angry at "rich kids")

Authorities are still investigating whether Cho had any accomplices in planning or executing Monday's rampage, Flaherty said.

Cho, a resident alien from South Korea, was a 23-year-old English major who lived at the university's Harper Hall, Flinchum said.

"He was a loner, and we're having difficulty finding information about him," said Larry Hincker, associate vice president for university relations.

Cho came to the United States in 1992, through Detroit, Michigan, a department of Homeland Security official said. He had lawful permanent residence, via his parents, and renewed his green card in October 2003, the official said.

His residence was listed as Centreville, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.

Doctor recalls 'amazing' injuries

A doctor at a Blacksburg hospital described the injuries he saw Monday as "amazing" and the shooter as "brutal."

As questions continued to arise about how police reacted to the first shooting at the dorm, university President Charles Steger on Tuesday defended the response, saying police believed it to be "a domestic fight, perhaps a murder-suicide" that was contained to one dorm room.

Police cordoned off the 895-student West Ambler Johnston dorm and all residents were told about the shooting as police looked for witnesses, Steger said.

Authorities were still investigating what they believed was an "isolated incident" when the slaughter started at Norris Hall.

"I don't think anyone could have predicted that another event was going to take place two hours later," Steger said, adding that it would've been difficult to warn every student because most were off campus at the time. Watch a student's recording of police responding to loud bangs

Student heard clip drop to ground

Zach Petkewicz was in class when the shooting at Norris began and "everyone went into a frenzy, a panic." Petkewicz was hiding behind a podium when he realized there was nothing preventing the shooter from entering the classroom and barked to his classmates, "We need to barricade this door."

Two students joined him in throwing tables against the door and wedging their weight behind them, just as the gunman cracked open the door.

When the students slammed the door in his face, "he backed up and shot twice into the middle of the door thinking we were up against it," Petkewicz said.

"I was up against the side holding this desk up against there and I just heard his clip drop to the ground and he reloaded, and I thought he was coming back for a second round, to try and get his way in there," he said. "He didn't say a word, and he just turned and kept firing down the hall and didn't try to get back in."

As of midday Tuesday, officials were still releasing the names of those killed, which include a marching band member from Georgia and an Israeli Holocaust survivor who headed the engineering and science department. (Friends, family recall victims)

Classes have been canceled for the rest of the week, and Norris Hall will be closed for the remainder of the semester, Steger said. Emily Alderman, who works at a clothing store near campus, said students were sending out instant messages urging one another to wear their Virginia Tech Hokie gear in a sign of unity.

The rest of spring football season also has been canceled, the university announced.

There have been two bomb threats at the university this month, the latest of which came Friday. Flinchum said Tuesday they were unrelated to the shootings.
